Arcade Fire have revealed details about the follow-up to this year’s debut album ‘Funeral’.
The Canadians recently said to NME that they were heading back into the studio to work on their second record.
Butler revealed the band, a huge hit at this year’s Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds Festivals, have been working on new material while on the road, and are due to use a church in Quebec to lay down some tracks for the LP, due in 2006, MTV News reports.
He said: “Régine (Chassagne – bandmember and Butler’s wife) and I work on lyrics and chord structures and stuff like that, but the arrangement process is really drawn out and really collaborative, so that definitely is hard to do on the road. So we’re setting up the studio and remembering how to play our instruments.”
Speaking about what to expect, he added: “A lot of different textures, and we’re just kind of starting to get excited about new sounds.”
