Butler lined up alongside celebrities including Kevin Hart and Sarah Silverman
Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler appeared in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game last night (February 13) scoring 8 points as he guided his team to victory.
Butler appeared alongside fellow celebrities including Common, Sarah Silverman and Nick Cannon in the annual East V West game held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Representing the West, Butler scored 8 points as his team secured a 59-51 victory. Butler did not receive the MVP award, however, with that title going to comedian and actor Kevin Hart.
A number of pictures and video clips from the game can be seen below.
Later today, Butler will serve his own range of coffee at a cafe in New York (February 14). Butler’s ‘RaRa’ coffee was grown in Haiti and will be released in conjunction with La Colombe Coffee. Proceeds from sales will go to the Partners in Health and Haiti Coffee Academy charities.
The trend for musicians to launch their own range of coffee has also seen the likes of St Vincent and LCD Soundsystem‘s James Murphy get involved. Annie Clark’s ‘Bring Me Your Mugs’ brew was released in May, named after the track ‘Bring Me Your Loves’ from her recent self-titled album. Murphy’s ‘House Of Good’ coffee was made available in February, with its flavour described as “dried cherry, cocoa, meyer lemon”.
