Television and Devo to support Arcade Fire on US tour

Antibalas and Pulp's Steve Mackey also added to line-up of 'Reflektor' tour

Arcade Fire have added DEVO and Television to their ‘Reflektor’ tour in America.

The bands will provide support at selected dates as the band make their way across America, starting later this month. The month-long tour will also see the Canadian band play gigs with Antibalas while Pulp’s Steve Mackey will provide DJ support in Los Angeles.

Devo and Television join an already impressive list of support acts on the US leg of the ‘Reflektor’ tour with Dan Deacon, Owen Pallett, Spoon and tUnE-yArDs also opening up for the band between July 30 and the end of August. Television will perform in Brooklyn while Devo are set to support in Moutain View on July 30 and Chicago on August 26 and 27. A full list of Arcade Fire’s tour dates can be seen here.

Earlier this week Arcade Fire made the shortlist for this year’s Polaris Music Prize, alongside Drake and Mac DeMarco. A shortlist of 10 was whittled down from a 40-strong longlist earlier this week, ahead of the prize giving ceremony for the Canadian album award on September 22.

Previous nominees Drake and Arcade Fire lead the big names on this year’s shortlist with their albums ‘Nothing Was The Same’ and ‘Reflektor’ respectively. Arcade Fire won the award in 2011 for ‘The Suburbs’.
