Tickets for Neil Young and Arcade Fire at Hyde Park sold for £2.50 are ‘likely’ to be honoured

Festival tickets also on two-for-one offer on bargains website

Tickets for Arcade Fire and Neil Young‘s Barclaycard British Summer Time concerts at Hyde Park in July have been on sale for just £2.50.

The huge reduction on the tickets – which have a face-value price of £66 – are supposed to be for staff at ticket agency AXS. But the ticket link here is accessible to the public.

The £2.50 ticket price also applies to Barclaycard British Summer Time shows by McBusted and Tom Jones, but not to the festival’s other concerts by The Libertines and Black Sabbath, which are only on sale at full-price.

Barclaycard British Summer Time’s spokesman was unavailable for comment. However, festival sources have told NME it is “likely” that the ticket sales will be honoured.

While the AXS link was supposed to only be via a URL given to staff, tickets for Arcade Fire’s show on July 3 and Tom Jones on July 13 are openly available with a two-for-one offer on bargains website Living Social here.

The full list of Barclaycard British Summer Time shows is:

July 3: Arcade Fire, Jake Bugg, Wild Beasts, Future Islands
July 4: Black Sabbath, Soundgarden, Faith No More, Soulfly
July 5: The Libertines, The Pogues, Spiritualized, Maximo Park
July 6: McBusted, Backstreet Boys, The Vamps, Scouting For Girls
