Arcade Fire and Blink-182 join Foo Fighters at 2017 European festival

Justice, Erasure, The Lumineers, Solange and Warpaint also confirmed

Arcade Fire and Blink-182 have been announced for Denmark’s Roskilde Festival 2017, joining a bill that also includes Foo Fighters.

Roskilde 2017 will take place in Copenhagen from June 24 to July 1. Tickets for Roskilde are on sale now. See more details at the Roskilde website.

It had already been confirmed that Foo Fighters will headline next year’s event, having last played the Danish festival in 2005. Now they will be joined by fellow headliners Arcade Fire, plus Blink-182, Justice, Erasure, The Lumineers, Solange and Warpaint.

Jaguar Ma, Kevin Morby, Margo Price, Kano are also among those newly announced. Other acts previously confirmed for Roskilde include Trentemøller, Angel Olsen, Moderat/Modeselektor and Jenny Hval.

Head of Programme Anders Wahrén says of the news: “Arcade Fire have spearheaded a new generation of indie rock, and they’ve grown tremendously in terms of both ambition and popularity since their last visit to Roskilde Festival 10 years ago. We look forward to a majestic and overwhelming night when they play our iconic Orange Stage in 2017.”

“The acts that we’ve announced today are from 10 different countries and represent a myriad of different styles. On a larger scale, this sort of diversity is what’s so important to us. From Korea’s Black String to a trendsetting urban artist like Kano. From a political star like Solange to something heavier like Red Fang, these artists all do something unique in totally different ways.”
