There was also a guest appearance from The National's Bryce Dessner

Chrissie Hynde joined Arcade Fire onstage last night (April 11) at their London gig to perform a rendition of classic Pretenders song ‘Don’t Get Me Wrong’.

Arcade Fire headlined London’s Wembley Arena on Wednesday night, with Hynde taking to the stage early in the set.

Hynde then returned for an encore of Arcade Fire’s ‘Wake Up’, which – according to reports – also featured a guest appearance from The National‘s Bryce Dessner.

The band recently played ‘Vampire/ Forest Fire’ for the first time in seven years. The rare live performance came ahead of the band reissuing their debut EP for this year’s Record Store Day.

With the tour kicking off in Dublin last week, the band paid tribute to The Cranberries’ Dolores O’Riordan with a cover of ‘Linger‘.

Win Butler also surprised clubbers in Manchester last Saturday night with a secret DJ set.

According to reports, he showed up at Deaf Institute with just a MacBook and a bottle of whiskey, and selected songs for two hours. In the frontman’s set were tracks by the likes of Barry White, MIA, The Rapture, Can, Sylvester, Human League, Donna Summer, and Blondie.
