Arctic Monkeys share acoustic version of ‘Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High?’

The band kick off their UK tour in Newcastle tonight (October 22)

Arctic Monkeys have shared an acoustic cut of their single ‘Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High?’ – watch it above.

The new version of the track was recorded at New York’s Avatar Studios. It was the third single from the band’s fifth album ‘AM’, which was released on September 9.

The band kick off their UK tour tonight (October 21) in Newcastle. They will be joined by The Strypes and will play:

Last week, Arctic Monkeys were forced to make a rescheduled appearance on US late night television show Jimmy Kimmel Live, after being bumped when Kanye West‘s recent interview overran.

The Sheffield band had originally been scheduled to perform on the chat show after West’s October 10 interview. However, West overran while talking about Kimmel’s parody of his now infamous interview with Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1.
