Turner, who had been watching the band from a concealed corner of the room with Beady Eyes and Gorillaz guitarist Jeff Wooton, walked on stage midway through ‘Vertigo’ to sing one verse. The Arctic Monkeys frontman prowled along the front of the stage, leaning into the crowd as he sang, before leaving as quickly as he had entered.

Mini Mansions – who consist of Michael Shuman, Zach Dawes and Tyler Parkford – played for just under an hour as they previewed material from their second LP, as well as a handful of covers and older tracks. The trio, all dressed in suits of varying colours, opened their set with a version of Sparks’ ‘Sherlock Holmes’ before playing ‘Monk’, taken from their self-titled 2009 debut album.

“Alright, let’s play some new songs,” announced drummer and occasional guitarist Shuman as the band launched into ‘Double Visions’. ‘Creeps’ followed swiftly after, while later the group treated the audience to a cover of Blondie’s ‘Heart Of Glass’.

After ‘Vertigo’, Shuman thanked the crowd and the band brought the set to a close with ‘Freakout!’.

Mini Mansions played:

‘Sherlock Holmes’
‘Double Visions’
‘Honey I’m Home’
‘Heart Of Glass’
‘Death Is A Girl’
