P Diddy tells Twitter followers to buy Arctic Monkeys’ ‘Humbug’

Rap mogul is drumming up business for Helders and co

P Diddy‘s love of the Arctic Monkeys has seen the rap mogul urge all his fans to buy their album.

The Sheffield band released their third record, ‘Humbug’, earlier this week (August 24) – and Diddy has used his internet reach to help sell copies.

Using Twitter.com/iamdiddy yesterday (August 26), ironically while Arctic Monkeys were onstage in London, the rapper instructed his followers to head out to the shops.

“Go get the Arctic Monkeys‘ new album ‘Humbug’!!!!!!” he wrote, adding his online catchphrase. “Let’s go!!!!!”

Diddy’s support of the band blossomed earlier this year when he and drummer Matt Helders became friends after meeting at the Miami Dance Music Conference, while Arctic Monkeys were in the US recording ‘Humbug’.

The rapper’s support is not to be sniffed at – currently boasting 1,819,849 followers, he is one of the most popular people on the micro blogging site.
