Arctic Monkeys surprise fans with hometown show

'Favourite Worst Nightmare' previewed at secret Sheffield gig

Arctic Monkeys played a surprise show in Sheffield last night (February 10).

The band made their live return in their hometown at the city’s Leadmill venue, with a gig that was kept under wraps until just an hour before the Arctic Monkeys took the stage.

The show was the group’s first performance since completing their forthcoming second album ’Favourite Worst Nightmare’ and saw them preview a host of new songs including ’Fluorescent Adolescent’, ’D Is For Dangerous’ (which has appeared online, see below) and upcoming single ’Brianstorm’.
