Could Alex Turner and co be announced for Spain's Mad Cool festival?
Arctic Monkeys could be set to be announced for Spain’s Mad Cool festival after the organisers shared a teaser online.
Mad Cool 2018 will be held at the new venue of Valdebebas in IFEMA in Madrid from July 12-14.
The festival has already announced that the likes of Kasabian, Queens Of The Stone Age, Tame Impala, Nine Inch Nails, Franz Ferdinand, Justice, Alice In Chains, Massive Attack, MGMT, Pearl Jam, Snow Patrol will perform over the course of the festival.
Earlier today (January 17), a since-deleted Instagram clip posted by the festival teased the digits 0114, which is the dialling code for the band’s hometown of Sheffield and has appeared on member Matt Helders’ drum kit in the past.

NME approached the band’s press representative for a response to the rumours and they offered “no comment”.
It has been speculated that the band could headline the Friday night (July 13) of the festival. The festival’s line-up currently features an empty space in the Friday headline slot.
Arctic Monkeys were recently announced for Firefly Festival, which takes place in Delaware during June. It’s their first announced festival appearance of 2018.
It was recently suggested that the band would be playing Mad Cool Festival, Primavera Sound and Rock Werchter, among other festivals, this year.
However, NME has since learned that this did not come from official sources, but more 2018 tour dates are expected to follow in the coming weeks.
