Arctic Monkeys to headline NOS Alive festival 2018

Sheffield is coming to Lisbon...

Arctic Monkeys have been announced as the opening night headliner for NOS Alive Festival 2018, joining a stellar bill that already includes Queens Of The Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails, and Jack White.

The Sheffield icons will appear on the NOS Stage on Thursday 12 July, supported by a bill that includes both Nine Inch Nail and Snow Patrol.

Close friends Queen of The Stone Age will then appear on July 13 with The National, before the final day on July 14 boasts sets from Pearl Jam and Jack White. You can buy tickets here.

Other already announced acts include the likes of Rag N Bone Man, Eels, Chvrches, At The Drive In, Perfume Genius, Portugal. The Man, Wolf Alice, Khalid, Friendly Fires, The Kooks, Marmozets, Two Door Cinema Club, Real Estate and Mallu Magalhães.

The headline appearance from Arctic Monkeys comes amid expectations that the group will release their sixth album in 2018.

Although the band have been keeping their cards extremely close to their chest, Matt Helders recently featured on Iggy Pop’s ‘Post Pop Depression’.

In 207, NOS Alive 2017 also welcomed Depeche Mode, Foo Fighters, The Weeknd, Ryan Adams, Fleet Foxes, Savages, Bonobo, Floating Points, Peaches and many more incredible acts to Lisbon.
