Jonathan Ross criticises ‘lazy little fucker’ Ariana Grande after she pulls out of TV performance

US pop star was due to appear on the latest episode of Ross's ITV chat show

Jonathan Ross reportedly called Ariana Grande a “lazy little fucker” after the US pop star pulled out of a scheduled appearance on his show.

Grande was booked to perform live on The Jonathan Ross Show, which aired on ITV last night (November 7) and was filmed two days before. Guests on the show included Joan Collins, Danny DeVito and Sheridan Smith.

However, Grande did not turn up to the studio on time, leaving Ross to tell his audience there would be no music and speculate that the singer was “having her first Nando’s” instead.

He said: “Ariana is in town. We were told she would be in the car at 6pm to be here for 7pm then it got to 7pm and she was not in the car – 7.30pm and she is still not in the motherf***ing car. So I don’t think we can hold out much hope.

“She was booked but the lazy little fucker has not come. Maybe she has gone to her first Nando’s.”

It’s not been a god week for Grande and interviewers. She was recently forced to criticise a radio DJ for his misogynistic line of questioning when he asked her about mobile phones, make-up and emojis rather than her music.

The pop singer recently stopped by Los Angeles radio station Power 106 to talk to hosts Justin Credible and Eric D-Lux.

Grande appeared somewhat frustrated after being questioned about things that the interviewers believed “girls like”.

After being told that the unicorn emoji was for girls and that girls look at their phones during dinner, Grande told D-Lux in particular: “You need a little brushing up on equality.”

Earlier this year, Grande penned an essay on sexism following her split with rapper Big Sean. In it, the singer criticised the “misogyny” in the media and said that she is “tired of living in a world where women are mostly referred to as a man’s past, present or future”.
