Representatives for Ariana Grande have claimed that nude photos of the singer, which have surfaced online, are fake.
The images come as dozens of celebrities have been targeted in a major hacking campaign. Rihanna, Avril Lavigne, Hilary Duff and Selena Gomez are among the other musicians targeted.
Actresses Jennifer Lawrence, Lea Michele, Vanessa Hudgens, Kirsten Dunst, Kate Upton and Krysten Ritter are also believed to have been victims of the hacker, who claims to have found the images via an Apple iCloud leak that allowed celebrities’ phones to be hacked. The images were then posted on anonymous message board 4chan.
A representative for Grande has denied that the images reported to be of the US singer are genuine. “The photos are completely fake,” he said to BuzzFeed. Representatives for the other musicians and Apple have yet to comment on the story.
Meanwhile, The Huffington Post reports that the hacker has more photos and videos and is willing to reveal them in exchange for money.
