Ariana Grande denies feud with Nicki Minaj

"There will never be anything but love between us ever."

Ariana Grande has denied speculation that she’s in the middle of a feud with Nicki Minaj, after the singer was referenced on a new song.

The ‘Thank U, Next’ singer was believed to have fallen out with Nicki after a cryptic lyric on the rapper’s new song ‘Bust Down Barbiana’.

Nicki raps on the track: “And I’m still winnin’, Pacquiana, Percocets, popiana, killin’ everybody beat, thank you next, Ariana.”

But while some suggested that the line was meant to be a direct dig at Ariana’s hit, it seems that definitely isn’t the case.

Responding to a fan on Twitter, Ariana wrote: “No silly ass. there will never be anything but love between us ever. she’s been there for me (in real life) every time i’ve needed somebody & i’ll always be there for her. we love each other. bet”.

Reiterating their friendship, Minaj said: “Not more than you’ve been there for me behind the scenes. Love you. For life.”

The pair are known for their close friendship, having previously collaborated on the likes of ‘Bang Bang’, ‘Side to Side’ and ‘Bed.’

In other news, Ariana was sued earlier this week over her video for ‘God Is A Woman.’

A Las Vegas artist is claiming copyright infringement over an image that was used in the video, alleging that she borrowed an image that he created in 1999.

The singer is set to release her new album, ‘Thank U, Next’, on Friday (February 8). It comes just six months after her last release, ‘Sweetener’, and will feature the titular hit single, and new song ‘7 Rings’.
