Ariana Grande has been confirmed as the headliner of Manchester Pride Festival 2019.
The singer will make an emotional return to the city for the annual event, which will be held on August 23-26. The show will take place over two years on from the terrorist attack which claimed 22 lives following her concert at the Manchester Arena in May 2017.
Grande had previously promised her fans that she and her team were planning “a special show” in Manchester for 2019, and she’s now been confirmed as the headline act of this year’s Manchester Pride Festival. She’ll play at a new, 9,000-capacity outdoor venue in Mayfield on August 25.

She’ll perform at the top of a bill which also includes the likes of Years & Years, Bananarama and Lady Leshurr.
The gig will mark the ‘Thank U, Next’ star’s second live performance in the city since the Manchester Arena attack: she headlined and co-ordinated the benefit concert One Love Manchester in June 2017, which took place at the Old Trafford cricket ground.
Tickets for the Manchester Pride Festival 2019 are on sale now.
The Manchester Evening News are also reporting that Grande plans to add a second Manchester gig at a later date to round off her world tour.
Grande recently asked her fans to bring only see-through or clear bags to the numerous stops on her world tour as part of strict security measures which are set to be put in place.
