"Security is going to be very precise and smooth but for sure super strict"
Ariana Grande has given her fans advance warning to buy see-through bags ahead of her upcoming world tour in order for concertgoers to pass strict security checks which will be in place at each show.
The policy is understood to be part of the tighter security measures which are being brought in by the ‘Thank, U Next’ singer for her next tour. A Grande concert in Manchester was targeted by a bomber in May 2017, with the atrocity claiming 22 lives and leaving hundreds injured.
Grande’s next world tour kicks off in Albany, New York on March 18, and the tour will visit the UK and Ireland for a series of dates in August and September. Ahead of the commencement of the tour, Grande took to Instagram to implore her fans to buy a clear bag to take with them to the concert they have tickets for as “security is going to be very precise and smooth but for sure super strict.”
“They’re super cheap and simple but having them ahead of time will for sure help things go as smooth as possible so if you see this in your emails please don’t ignore it!” she added. “My team n [sic] I appreciate it very much!”
Back in December, Grande first announced her intention to stage a special event in the city sometime this year. She’s since followed through on those plans, confirming this evening (February 25) that she will be the headline act at Manchester Pride Festival 2019 in August.
