'Vagabond' will be debuting at the Sugar Mountain festival in Melbourne later this week
Ariel Pink is starring in a new short film called Vagabond alongside Friends’ vocalist Samantha Urbani.

The film sees Pink playing a cab driver in Los Angeles, with Urbani featuring as a passenger alongside Tim Koh from Pink’s own band. It was directed by Australian filmmaker Johann Rashid.
Pink released his most recent album ‘Pom Pom‘ was released in November of last year. The album is the 10th studio release by the alt-pop musician (real name Ariel Marcus Rosenberg), but the first to be put out under a solo guise rather than as Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti.
Around the album’s release Pink reportedly made a series of inflammatory comments at his London show at the Scala where, The Guardian reports, he told fans he was “the Jimmy Savile of Los Angeles” after set opener ‘Picture Me Gone’. Later, he remarked that there should be “more beheadings”.
