ARMAND VAN HELDEN and SHACK will apparently be joining GOLDIE in his search for a new label, after being dropped by LONDON RECORDS, NME.COM has learned.
Although Van Helden’s departure remains unconfirmed, a source at London Records previously alleged to NME.COM that the US house DJ was a casualty of the company’s recent merger with Warners. We reported earlier today that Goldie had already gone, and now NME.COM understands that Shack’s departure from the label occurred for similar reasons.
A press spokesperson for Van Helden could not, however, confirm his departure. “I’m not sure,” he commented. “There’s a lot of changes at the label at the moment, though, so I guess anything’s possible.”
However, similar rumours that Asian Dub Foundation had also been dropped have been denied by the band’s spokesperson.
London Records’ press spokesperson would not confirm or deny the rumours at the time of publishing.
