THE FATBOY SLIM/ARMAND VAN HELDEN soundclash will be rescheduled in the next six weeks and Norman Cook has promised to “move Hell and high water” to make sure it happens.
The bout, cancelled because of the Brixton bomb, will still take place at the Academy in defiance of any mad bombers.
The decision to postpone the gig was taken shortly after the nail bomb blast sent 50 people to hospital.
“All local public transport was shut down, and the area cordoned off. The last thing the police needed was 4,000 fight fans descending on a major crime scene. Both Norman and Armand are incredibly disappointed but are keen to get it on as soon as possible. The Stoke gig on Friday night was a huge success. Expect an announcement imminently.” Gareth Hansome, Big Beat Boutique promoter said today.
“A terrible Saturday night. It was such a shame because Friday in Stoke was so brilliant. I am going to move hell and high water to make these shows happen.” said Norman Cook.
Tickets for the show on Saturday will be valid for the rescheduled event.
