Art Brut have announced their first album in seven years, sharing a new track ‘Wham! Bang! Pow! Let’s Rock Out!’

Fronted by Eddie Argos, the band’s last release was 2011’s ‘Brilliant! Tragic!‘ with the band also releasing a 10th anniversary collection ‘Top Of The Pops’ back in 2013.

They’ve had a shift in their lineup since their last LP. Jasper Future and Mikey Breyer have left while founding members Argos, Ian Catskilkin, Freddy Feedback remain. Graham Coxon guitarist Toby McFarlane has joined along with drummer Charlie Layton of the Wedding Present.

A release date and further details for the album have yet to be revealed but they have shared the lead single the album. Listen to ‘Wham! Bang! Pow! Let’s Rock Out!’ below.

Speaking of life since 2011’s ‘Brilliant! Tragic!’ Argos said: “I moved to Berlin, I nearly died with Peritonitis. I was in a hospital for a bit. I had a son, I had a relationship that broke up. I wrote a comic, a memoir, a musical, and had a one man show.”

Tweeting the news of the album, Argos wrote: “I can’t wait for you all to hear the album. I wish we could release it tomorrow.”
