Forget Ibiza - Bognor Regis is where it's at...

ARTFUL DODGER, MJ COLE and DREEM TEEM are just some of the acts confirmed to play at PURE SILK, the latest addition to the growing list of dance music weekenders in 2001.

The UK garage club promoters and record label will be hosting the event, which they are describing as “the event the weather can’t spoil”, at the Butlins holiday camp in Bognor Regis over the weekend of March 23-25.

In addition to UK garage DJs such as Artful Dodger and Matt White, the event will accommodate drum’n’bass and R&B, with Radio 1’s Fabio & Grooverider and Trevor Nelson also confirmed to appear.

As well as entry to the event, the #89 ticket will also include apartment accommodation and access to 24-hour bars, restaurants, an indoor waterworld, go-karting and an Odeon cinema.

Other similar events include the Dedbeat Weekender, featuring Aphex Twin and Two Lone Swordsmen, which takes place on February 23-25 at Great Yarmouth’s Vauxhall Holiday park, while the Fatboy Slim-headlined Boutique Weekender happens between March 16-18 at Pontin’s Camber Sands Holiday Centre.
