LOVE legend ARTHUR LEE was joined onstage by former BLUR guitarist GRAHAM COXON at his sold-out LONDON show last night (January 15).
Coxon joined one of his heroes on the Royal Festival Hall stage for a version of ‘Singing Cowboy’ from Love ‘Four Sail’ album from 1969.
Lee and his band were joined by string and brass sections to work through Love’s 1967 psychedelic classic ‘Forever Changes’ in it’s entirety, to the delight of the crowd, who included Bobby Gillespie, The Beatings, Ladytron and ex-[a][/a]
star Donna Matthews…..
Lee also played a string of other Love classics, including ‘Seven And Seven Is’, ‘My Little Red Book’ and ‘Your Mind And We Belong Together’.
Lee returns to the Royal Festival Hall on February 3, though the string and brass sections will be absent.
