It'll go out as a B-side to a future Ash single...

ASH have launched a competition to find a band to appear on a future release.

As previously reported, the group are to release a singles compilation, ‘Intergalactic Cosmic Sevens’, on September 9.

‘Intergalactic Cosmic Sevens’ will also be available with a second album of B-sides and rarities entitled ‘Cosmic Debris’.


For that release, the band have announced details of a competition for bands to cover any one of the singles that feature on the singles compilation, which are: ‘Burn Baby Burn’

‘Shining Light’


‘Oh Yeah’

‘A Life Less Ordinary’


‘Jesus Says’


‘Kung Fu’

‘Jack Names The Planets’



‘Angel Interceptor’

‘Uncle Pat’

Entrants should record their cover onto DAT, CD-R or MiniDisc and send them to Ash Covers Competition, PO Box 4226, London, SW6 2XG. The deadline for entries is August 16 and the winning entrant will have their cover version released as a B-side on a future Ash release.
