At The Drive-In announce one-off UK show – ticket details

Reformed rockers will play one-off gig in the UK capital next month

At The Drive-In are to play a one-off show in London following their forthcoming Reading And Leeds Festivals performances in August.

The reformed rockers took to Twitter this morning (July 9) to announce the gig at the O2 Brixton Academy on August 28.

They wrote:

¬°ATTENTION! @AtTheDriveIn will be performing in London at Brixton Academy on August 28. Tix on sale at 9am Friday July 1.

The move comes after the band announced pre-sale ticket details for a special, one-off show last week but refused to reveal any further details. Applicants had until midnight (BST) on July 5 to register for the gig.

Their only other performances in the UK will take place at the Reading And Leeds Festivals over the weekend of August 24-26.

At The Drive-In played their first show in 11 years in Texas earlier this year.

They announced their reunion in January of this year. The group originally split in 2001 at the height of their popularity after the release of their ‘Relationship Of Command’ album, with singer Cedric Bixler-Zavala and Omar Rodriguez-Lopez forming the band The Mars Volta. The remaining three members, meanwhile, went on to form the group Sparta.
