Avicii cancels all forthcoming live appearances over health concerns

Swedish DJ is still suffering issues related to surgery earlier in 2014

Avicii has cancelled all of his forthcoming live dates amid concerns for his health.

The Swedish DJ has cancelled live dates in China, Japan and Las Vegas between now and the end of the year as he recovers from lingering health issues related to the surgeries that removed his gallbladder and appendix earlier this year, reports Billboard.

A spokesperson for the EDM producer, real name Tim Bergling, confirmed that Avicii will recuperate in his native Stockholm until he has recovered sufficiently to continue work on the follow-up to his 2013 album ‘True’.

As previously reported, Avicii is making an album with guest vocalists including Chris Martin, Billie Joe Armstrong, Jon Bon Jovi and System Of A Down frontman Serj Tankian.

He is also producing a duet between Wyclef Jean and Matisyahu for the album, which will be his second record. The only definite song title so far is ‘No Pleasing A Woman’, which features Green Day singer Armstrong.
