Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger making music together despite marriage separation

'Back where it all started,' Lavigne writes

Avril Lavigne and Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger have uploaded photos of themselves in the studio despite recently splitting up.

The pair married in July 2013, and the same year released a track entitled ‘Let Me Go’ to reflect the growth of their relationship. However, they announced last month that they are to split after two years of marriage.

On Saturday (October 3), Lavigne posted two pictures to Instagram showing the pair making music together. The captions read: “YeeHaw! Writing with Chad today” and “Back where it all started…”

Lavigne recently confirmed the pair’s split with a message reading: “It is with a heavy heart that Chad and I announce our separation today. Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we’ve created many unforgettable moments. We are still and forever will be the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other. To all our family, friends and fans, thank you sincerely for the support.”
