Avril Lavigne ‘attacked’ onstage in Brazil

Singer is harassed by fan before Coldplay cover

Avril Lavigne was attacked by a fan onstage on Tuesday night (August 2) during a concert in Brazil.

The singer was about to launch into a cover of Coldplay‘s ‘Fix You’ when a female fan climbed onstage and attempted to grab or perhaps embrace Lavigne, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

A video of the incident can be seen below.

In the video, Lavigne screams as the fan is caught and dragged offstage by her brother Matt who is also her security guard.

Lavigne is heard saying, “It’s all good” before carrying on with the show. The singer is set to appear at the Teen Choice Awards later in the week.

She returns to the road in September for dates in Russia, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Germany. The singer will play London’s Hammersmith Apollo on September 21 and Manchester’s Apollo on September 23. She has also reportedly already started working on the follow-up to this year’s ‘Goodbye Lullaby’.
