Azealia Banks under police investigation following alleged fight with nightclub security

The incident reportedly took place in Los Angeles late last month (October)

Azealia Banks is under investigation by the LAPD over an alleged fight with nightclub security staff, according to reports.

The incident reportedly took place at the Break Room 86 club in Los Angeles late last month (October).

The club security claim that they asked the rapper to leave the club due to her “unruly behaviour”. They maintain that she tried to set off the club’s fire alarm.

There is security footage – obtained by TMZ – that shows Banks and her entourage in a fight with the club’s security.

TMZ reports: “Banks and her crew were partying at Break Room 86 in L.A. late last month when she allegedly became unruly and security told her to leave. As Banks approached the front door, security claims she tried pulling the fire alarm.”

“A security guard grabbed Banks as she was messing with the fire control valves, and that’s when Banks and her crew jumped the guy.”

The star has admitted to NME that she has had a confrontational side in the past. “It’s not even a head thing,” she said, describing the red mist that overtakes her in these moments of confrontation, “it’s a physical thing. I start to get red hot.”

Banks also recently took to Twitter to announce that there would be no follow up to 2014 album ‘Broke With Expensive Taste’ until March 2016 at the earliest. She claims her management are holding her in contract until February of next year.
