Azealia Banks filmed making homophobic remark to airplane flight attendant – video

The incident allegedly took place following a flight from New York to Los Angeles on Monday (September 21)

Rapper Azealia Banks has been filmed arguing with a fellow passenger and a flight attendant earlier this week.

As TMZ reports, Banks was flying from New York to Los Angeles on Monday (September 21). According to onlookers, the hip-hop star was embroiled in a physical and verbal bust-up at the end of the flight.

According to the reports, the disagreement began when Banks was blocked from leaving the plane by a French couple unloading their luggage from their overheard compartment.

The source claims that the dispute escalated when the man stopped Banks from passing. It has been alleged that Banks spat in the individual’s face before punching him in the face.

Video footage appears to show a flight attendant intervening, with Banks proceeding to call the member of staff a “fucking faggot”.

The police later spoke to Banks plus those involved and an eye witnesses but no charges were pressed.

Tweeting about the video footage earlier today (September 22), Banks wrote: “I don’t care. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I don’t tolerate bitchassness and I don’t tolerte men putting their hands on me.”

NME have asked Azealia Banks’ press representatives for a comment but have yet to receive a response.

Earlier this year, Azealia Banks claimed that she can’t be homophobia because she is bisexual.

In July, Banks took to Twitter to write: “Why do gay men think everything I post about being gay is about them?! GIRLS ARE GAY TOO. I LIKE VAGINAS.”

She continued: “Just give the Azealia banks is a homophobe thing a rest because I’m not. I have a transgender sibling. My whole life is gay… All of my friends are gay, I am bisexual…. So please… Stop.”
