Azealia Banks embroiled in Twitter beef with Lupe Fiasco

Banks says that the argument would make Fiasco more 'relevant' than he has been for years

Azealia Banks and Lupe Fiasco have been involved in a heated exchange via Twitter.

The disagreement first occurred when Banks seemingly took offence at a Fiasco (pictured right) tweet telling “young crazy emotional b***hes” to “chill da f**k out”. Banks responded by labelling Fiasco as a has-been and stating that her added publicity would make him more”relevant” than he’s been in years. See the social media exchange below.

This comes after Banks recently criticised Lamar for saying that “when we don’t have respect for ourselves, how do we expect them to respect us?” in relation to the recent events in Ferguson. Banks responded: “There are things in society that benefit a select few of us. fine… But don’t put down the rest by saying they don’t respect themselves…. HOW DARE YOU open ur face to a white publication and tell them that we don’t respect ourselves…. Speak for your f**king self”.

The 23-year-old Harlem rapper has also clashed with Iggy Azalea numerous times in recent months, criticising the Australian rapper for not commenting on the protests in Ferguson and New York following the deaths of Brown and Eric Garner.
