Azealia Banks to release new single ‘Esta Noche’ tomorrow

The rapper starts her sold out UK tour later this week

Azealia Banks is set to release her new single ‘Esta Noche’ tomorrow (September 25).

The rapper will put out the lead track from her ‘Fantasea’ mixtape though her label Polydor Records in advance of her totally sold out UK tour, which starts on September 28 at Manchester Club Academy.

On October 13, Banks hosts her Mermaid Ball at the London Aquarium, which will see performances from Banks and surprise special guests. There will be a mermaid fancy dress theme at the event, with a prize given for best costume.

Azealia Banks will release her debut album ‘Broke With Expensive Taste’ early next year. Taking to Twitter to confirm the news, Banks wrote: “‘Broke With Expensive Taste’ will be out first quarter of 2013 on February 12”. This is expected to be the US release date, with the album emerging one day earlier on February 11 in the UK and Europe.

Earlier this month, Azealia Banks claimed that Samantha Cameron is a big fan of her summer 2011 smash ‘212’. The rapper wrote on her Twitter feed that she had met the Prime Minister’s wife, who told her she “loves” the track, which boasts lyrics which focus on cunnilingus, gang violence and homoeroticism.

“Just met Samantha Cameron… She told me she loves 212…… *mind blown*,” Banks wrote. She added: “Samantha Cameron is the Michelle Obama of Britain… This is actually crazy right now.” The pair are thought to have met at London Fashion Week.
