The rapper posted and deleted a lengthy message on Facebook
Azealia Banks has revealed that she has suffered a miscarriage.
The rapper posted a message on Facebook today (December 20), which has since been deleted.
She wrote: “So I’ve just had a really major life event happen and I want to talk about it because this wouldn’t be an Azealia Banks page without loads of oversharing right?”
“Anywho, I’ve just had a miscarriage and am pretty taken aback by it all and really confused and in shock and guilty and a bit depressed and like a failure and very ashamed.”
She asked her fans: “Has anyone else had this same experience who cares to share some words of wisdom or words of anything regarding this topic?
“The self-loathing bit is a real struggle for me at the moment so share any words here, They will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.”
She later revealed that she was having trouble sleeping adding: “Finally starting to feel calm and sleepy. I haven’t slept all night.”
Banks also asked people to be respectful after making her personal news public.
She added: “HOPEFULLY the tabloids don’t get tacky about this Azealia Banks headline. I’ve had a real rough 2016. I honestly need a break from the public crucifixions.
“This is a women’s health issue that many others may or may not be able to relate to. Please don’t fuck UP an opportunity for clear, open and beneficial discourse between WOMEN!”
Fan-made screen-grabs show that Banks suggested Minaj should “slim down a bit” and “decrease [her] butt size”. She also compared her fellow rapper to McDonalds and accused her of ripping off Lady Gaga.
“McDonalds sells a lot of burgers but no one is telling McDonald’s that they’re the pinnacle of cuisine and taste. This is true of you,” Banks wrote. “You run around the meadow collecting all the low hanging fruit so you may turn around and congratulate yourself for having the most fruit, but all of the fruit is mealy and mushy.”
Banks also appeared to taunt Minaj by claiming she has made a “banger” with the ‘Starships’ rapper’s ex, Safaree Samuels.
