Pete Doherty collaborators join anti Racism gig

Rock Against Racism celebrates 30th anniversary in Brixton

The Thirst, who have recently collaborated with BabyshamblesPete Doherty on his solo record, have been added to the bill of Hope Not Hate 2008 event.

The band, who recently supported the Sex Pistols, will join Alabama 3, Misty In Roots, Tom Robinson and veteran politician and activist Tony Benn at London’s Brixton Academy on April 30.

The event marks 30 years since the legendary Rock Against Racism event at London’s Victoria Park, which featured The Clash, Tom Robinson and X-Ray Spex.

One more act is yet to be announced, and the organisers promise that some exclusive collaborations will also be taking place.
