Pete Doherty back in court today

Babyshambles singer charges with breaching bail conditions

Pete Doherty is set to appear in court this morning (August 21) charged with breaching his bail conditions.

The Babyshambles frontman was held in custody at a east London police station over night ahead of his appearence at West London Magistrates’ Court, after being arrested in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Doherty was stopped in the Tower Hamlets area of the capital at 2.30am by police and was held for suspected drug possession, after returning from playing V Festival with Babyshambles.

The singer is currently awaiting sentencing for a drugs charge on September 4 and was told by magistrates that his behaviour during August would determine whether he faced a prison or community sentence.
