Babyshambles score high chart entry

Foo Fighters also make it into the Top Ten

Babyshambles scored this week’s highest new entry in the UK singles chart tonight (September 23).

Pete Doherty‘s band shot in straight at Number Six with ‘Delivery’ in a good week for indie with the Foo Fighters also going in at Number Eight with ‘The Pretender’.

Sean Kingston held on to the top spot for the third week running with ‘Beautiful Girls’, while 50 Cent moved up three places with ‘Ayo Technology’ to Number Two.

Elsewhere in the album chart James Blunt‘s ‘All The Lost Souls’ went straight in at the top knocking rapper Kanye West‘s ‘Graduation’, into second spot.

Amy Winehouse‘s ‘Back to Black’ climbed from fourth to third in the album chart, and 50 Cent‘s ‘Curtis’ album fell two places to Number Four.

‘The State Of Things’ by Reverend and The Makers shot straight in at Number Five while Scouting for Girls self-titled debut went straight in at Number 12.
