The BACKSTREET BOYS have announced preliminary details of a comprehensive world tour for 2001.
The boy-band have recently completed a round the world promotional trip, taking in Stockholm, Tokyo, Sydney, Cape Town, Rio and New York to promote their new album ‘Black & Blue’, which was released in the UK last Monday (November 20) through Jive.
Speaking about the promotional marathon, whilst on the final leg in New York, Backstreet Boy AJ McLean said: “The actual circumference of the earth is 26,000 miles, and we covered that in four days. We now have the ‘Black & Blue’ army just like Kiss have the Kiss Army.”
According to a report on [url=]www.mtv.com, the tour is expected to commence in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on January 22 and then visit a number of other US cities. The group then plan to return to Europe in June following dates in South America.
