And the Backstreet Boys will kick proceedings off - wonder if them and *NSYNC will have a fight...

*NSYNC and AEROSMITH will be headlining the 35th Super Bowl on 28 January, in a bid to make its halftime slot the most exciting in the game’s history.

The two bands will both be playing during the MTV-sponsored halfway point, after the Backstreet Boys are due to perform the National Anthem before kick-off in the footsteps of previous warblers Whitney Houston, Garth Brooks and Faith Hill.

*NSYNC and Aerosmith are expected to play in front of a global audience of 750 million. NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue says: “We are pleased that musical performers of the magnitude of Aerosmith and *NSYNC will join the list of the of E-Trade Super Bowl halftime superstars.

“The Halftime show is an important part of the Super Bowl and one of the most highly anticipated entertainment events of the year.”
