BADLY DRAWN BOY has completed his new album for release in April, NME.COM can reveal.

The Mancunian singer-songwriter, aka Damon Gough, went back to his roots for his third full-length set, to be called ‘One Plus One Is One’.

After making 2002’s ‘Have You Fed The Fish?’ in Los Angeles with producer Tom Rothrock, the new album was recorded at Stockport’s Moolah Rouge studios with longtime collaborator and partner in Twisted Nerve records, Andy Votel.

Gough told NME.COM: “The two main factors that influenced this are that it was made in Stockport and that it was was recorded with Andy Votel. It’s my best yet, just me and Andy in a room playing bass, guitar and drums.”

Songs slated for the album include ‘The Holy Grail’ and ‘Four Leaf Clover’.

Gough is also planning to release a DVD retrospective, entitled ‘BDB-DVD’ featuring all of his promotional clips to date as well as three live performances.
