BADLY DRAWN BOY’s song ‘THE SHINING’ is being used by US clothing chain GAP as the theme music in their latest TV ad campaign, NME.COM can reveal.
The track, from the Mercury Prize-winning album ‘The Hour Of Bewilderbeast’, is the latest song to be used by the retailer in their television adverts in the States. American band Low’s version of ‘Little Drummer Boy’, which featured on their ‘Christmas’ EP last year, is also being used. Coldplay’s ‘Yellow’ is also being used on US TV network ABC to promote their winter schedule.
Badly Drawn Boy is currently touring the US and has appeared recently on ‘Late Night With Conan O’ Brien’ and ‘The David Letterman Show’. Low are touring Europe, while Coldplay hit America in the New Year for their first tour of the States.
