Each badge is a reflection of the brothers’ shared love of Manchester City, and sees their names being featured in two designs that reflect the history of the club.
For Noel, it’s a representation of City past, with his name featuring in a 70s style design. Rather appropriately, it also features the silhouette of some high flying birds.
Liam, meanwhile, reflects City in the here and now. His badge riffs on the design currently sported on City’s kits – but with a tambourine replacing the ship that is usually seen on their uniform.
Bands FC is the brainchild of designers Nick Fraser and Mark Liptrott, who previously told NME how they created a whole bevvy of band-inspired designs.
“It’s a celebration of the exact point where bands and football bump into each other – with a nod to Panini sticker collections,” explained Nick.
“We got started with a couple of ideas then it was non stop – some designs link the band to their favourite team, others are all about design – when we did Wu-verhampton Wanderers, that was quite a moment. Others are like cryptic clues to a song or whatever. Anyway they work best in the visual form so I’ll shut up now.”
