The POTUS also sang Rihanna's 'Work' and took shots at Donald Trump
US President Barack Obama has “slow-jammed” the news on Jimmy Fallon’s talk show for the final time in his presidency.
The sketch, which took place during last night’s transmission of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in the US, saw the President join host Fallon and his house band The Roots to deliver the news over a sultry R&B backing. Obama took the opportunity to highlight his administration’s accomplishments over the past eight years in monologue form, with Fallon and The Roots rapper Black Thought chipping in with observations and punchlines.
At one point, the President broke into the chorus from Rihanna’s hit single ‘Work’, much to the delight of the studio audience. The three players also aimed a number of jibes at the presumptive Republican nominee for the Presidency, Donald Trump.

Obama and Fallon have performed the ‘Slow Jam’ sketch before, back in 2012 when Fallon was the host of The Late Show. Last night also marked the first time that a serving President has appeared on The Tonight Show.
