RETURN OF THE JAXX

No performance - but the duo will be DJing...

BASEMENT JAXX are to play at the BOUTIQUE WEEKENDER alongside the likes of FATBOY SLIM and GROOVE ARMADA after all, but the appearance will be as a DJ-only set.

NME.COM was told earlier this week that the band had cancelled their appearance altogether due to recording commitments. However, it is now confirmed that they will be Djing at the event, giving fans a rare chance to hear work-in-progress from their second album: “We’re really looking forward to it,” commented the Jaxx’s Felix Buxton. “It’s going to be wicked.” The Boutique Weekender takes place at Pontin’s in Camber Sands on March 16 -18.

As previously reported on NME.COM, BASEMENT JAXX are currently in the studio finishing off the follow-up to their Top Ten smash ‘Rendez-Vous’ debut album. Buxton has described the new album to this week’s NME, on sale throughout the UK today (January 10), as “bursting with originality, emotion and modern-day ecstasy”.
