Basshunter pulled up a girl’s dress and slapped her bare backside in December last year in Kirkcaldy, a court in Fife heard yesterday.
The Swedish DJ, real name Jonas Altberg, appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court yesterday (May 18) on two charges of sexual assault. He had been charged after an incident at Kitty’s nightclub in Kirkcaldy in the early hours of December 10, 2010.
A woman told the court that she and a friend had approached Altberg for a photograph. As it was about to be taken he allegedly grabbed the back of their heads and directed them towards his groin area, reports the Daily Record.
She also told the court how the DJ had pulled up her dress and slapped her bare bottom. She said: “He grabbed me by the hips and lifted up my dress in line with my belly button. He then proceeded to grab the back of my underwear. He pulled them up and exposed both of my bum cheeks. He then slapped my backside.”
She added that the slap was so loud club revellers could hear it over the top of the music being played in the club.
Basshunter denies the charges. The trial is set to resume on June 14.
