Beach House share full versions of ‘PPP’ and ‘Beyond Love’

Tracks to feature on the band's forthcoming album 'Depression Cherry'

Baltimore dream-pop duo Beach House last week previewed two tracks from their forthcoming fifth studio album, ‘Depression Cherry’. Today (August 10), the pair have posted full versions of ‘PPP’ and ‘Beyond Love’ to their website.

The songs can be heard by using the site’s new ‘Single Finder’, which asks fans to pick their three favourite Beach House tracks. Based on the chosen selections, ‘PPP’, ‘Beyond Love’ or the already released single ‘Sparks’ begin playing.

‘Depression Cherry’ is due out on August 28 via Sub Pop. Speaking to Boston radio station WBUR last week, band member Victoria Legrand talked about the feel of the album, explaining that it “continues to change meaning for me. If anything, it’s full of many things: love, pain, getting older, dealing with loss, letting go. It’s ultimately whatever the listener feels and responds to”.

Alex Scally added: “The albums are part of our intrinsic musical personalities, like fingerprints to us. What do our brains make when we make something? Part of it is just the actual instruments we use. We play with guitar and organs and drum machines and reverb. Every time we find a new organ it’s like a moment of inspiration. The two new organs we found over the last couple of years are both on this record.”

In a previously released press release, the band described their forthcoming LP as “a return to simplicity, with songs structured around a melody and a few instruments, with live drums playing a far lesser role”.

The ‘Depression Cherry’ tracklist is:

‘Levitation’
‘Sparks’
‘Space Song’
‘Beyond Love’
’10:37′
‘PPP’
‘Wildflower’
‘Bluebird’
‘Days Of Candy’

The band have also announced tour dates, including shows in the UK and Ireland for October. They will play:

Belfast Mandela Hall (October 24)
Dublin Vicar Street (25)
Glasgow ABC (26)
Manchester Ritz (27)
London O2 Shepherds Bush Empire (30)
