Beach House unveil ‘New Year’ video – watch

It features time lapse footage from the band's recording sessions for the 'Bloom' album

Beach House have unveiled a video for their track ‘New Year’ – scroll down and click to watch it.

The seasonally appropriate track is taken from the duo’s fourth album ‘Bloom’, which came out last May (2012) and became their highest-charting effort yet, peaking at Number Seven in the US and Number 15 in the UK.

The ‘New Year’ video features time lapse footage from the recording sessions for the album, which took place at the Sonic Ranch studio in Tornillo, Texas during 2011. Fans of cats are unlikely to be disappointed with what they see.

Explaining the concept behind the ‘New Year’ clip, Beach House posted on YouTube: “It’s more of a home video thing, not a music video… we just thought these moments and the memories they involve fit this song.”

Beach House begin a tour of Australia tomorrow (January 3) and return to the UK for a pair of London dates in the spring. The duo will headline at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire venue on March 26 and 27.
