Liam Gallagher’s Pretty Green store’s looting losses estimated to be over £270,000

As one man is jailed for looting, Beady Eye man's store's losses are estimated to be costly

According to new estimates, Beady Eye frontman Liam Gallagher‘s Pretty Green store in Manchester was looted for over £270,000 worth of clothes during the riots.

The store, which is situated on the city’s King Street, was looted on Tuesday night (August 9) after rioting occurred in central Manchester. Its front door and windows were left smashed after looters gained access and took a huge number of items, which The Daily Telegraph estimates at being worth around £272,000.

One man has already been jailed for his part in the looting of Pretty Green. Owen Flanagan, who is 28 years old and from Levenshulme, just outside Manchester, pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary on Thursday (August 11). He has been sentenced to eight months in prison after stealing £175 worth of clothing from the store.

It is still not yet known whether Flanagan is the only looter who will be charged in relation to the Pretty Green incident. Courts across the UK are currently sitting for 24 hours a day to process all the cases from the riots.

Gallagher has opted not to comment on the looting thus far.
