Liam Gallagher on Psy’s Gangnam Style: ‘It’s an absolute classic’

Beady Eye frontman also revealed to be a keen art collector

Liam Gallagher says he loves Psy’s Gangman Style, dubbing it an “absolute classic” – watch a video of it below.

The Beady Eye frontman was speaking to Japanese fans in a web chat when he revealed his somewhat unlikely soft spot for the K-pop smash. Asked what he thought of the South Korean internet sensation, he replied: “I think it’s an absolute classic… I love it. My kid dances to it every morning and it makes me chuckle and spit out my Corn Flakes. I can’t wait to hear his new tune.”

Meanwhile, an art dealer in Hampstead has revealed that the increasingly-cultured Gallagher is one of her best customers. Gabrielle du Plooy, 37, who runs Zebra Gallery told the Ham & High “Liam Gallagher is one of the most loyal clients – he’s bought a lot of rock and roll photography as well as Sir Peter Blake’s sleeve for the Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album.”

Gallagher, who is currently in the studio working on his second album with new band Beady Eye, recently hit out at his brother Noel and the success of his solo career with The High Fying Birds. “Was I pleased for him? What, for splitting up my fucking band? I’m not pleased for him, no! I hope he’s fucking happy but he doesn’t look it.”

When asked again about the continuous rumours around an Oasis reunion, he replied: “Fuck Oasis as far as I’m concerned and fuck Noel Gallagher. The thought of going onstage with that fucking idiot and hanging out with his daft mates, the pretend drug addicts and all his snobs from Sloane Street. Fuck that, not interested, mate. We’re Beady Eye all the fucking way… I’ve got a new record, I’m buzzing off it.”
