Beady Eye reveal NSFW artwork for new album ‘BE’ and announce three live dates

Band to play three intimate UK dates in June

Beady Eye have revealed the artwork to their forthcoming album ‘BE’.

The NSFW cover was shot by Harry Peccinotti, a photographer best known for his erotic work and for shooting the famous Pirelli calendars in 1968 and 1969. His Beady Eye sleeve features a semi-naked woman – the photographer’s wife – lying on her back. The cover was revealed by the band on their official website earlier today (April 16).

Beady Eye have also announced details of three intimate live dates for people who pre-order ‘BE’. The band will play live at Manchester Ritz on June 19 before heading to London for a show at Camden Centre on June 20. The short stint will then come to a close in Glasgow at the ABC on June 22. Fans pre-ordering the album before midday on Monday April 22nd will receive a unique Ticketmaster pin code that will give them the chance to buy tickets to these limited shows. Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday April 23 at 9am.

Recorded in London with producer Dave Sitek, ‘BE’ sees the band experiment with cassette tapes, samplers, and iPhone apps. “Working with Sitek just opened something up in us,” Liam Gallagher says in a statement. “He’s without a doubt the best producer I’ve ever worked with, a real outlaw – he doesn’t give a fuck, no rules. We had a new found focus when we were writing it – we really got our heads down and got our shit together – clear heads, none of that crap from the ’90s. It feels like a really special record for us.”

“It’s a trippy record!” Dave Sitek adds. “The strength of the tracks is so high that we got to really play around! It’s rock band instrumentation, but used in a different way. Liam’s vocals are incredible, all you have to do is turn on a microphone and you’re like, ‘That sounds like a record!’ You don’t have to do anything to them.”

Earlier this month (April 10) Liam Gallagher posted the ‘BE’ album tracklisting on Twitter. See below for the full collection of tweets:
