Liam Gallagher barred from pub on Mother’s Day for being too drunk

Frontman turned away from The Queens in Crouch End, north London

Liam Gallagher was reportedly thrown out of the same pub twice in the last week for being too drunk.

The Sun reports that Gallagher was turned away from The Queens in Crouch End, London on Mother’s Day (Sunday, March 10) as he was drunk and slurring his words. A manager at the pub told the paper: “We just said we couldn’t serve him because he was too drunk. He was treated like any normal customer. It doesn’t matter who you are — if we think you are too drunk we will not serve you.”

The pub reportedly made news of the Beady Eye frontman’s behaviour on the pub’s Twitter feed: “We’ve had to kick Liam Gallagher out twice today. He asked whether it was because he was a rock star. We said no, just a drunken twit.” The comments were later deleted.

Reports suggest that Gallagher had turned up at the pub on Sunday with his former Oasis bandmate Bonehead and that they had been turned away with the bar and restaurant full of families celebrating Mother’s Day. The manager of the establishment confirmed that the Beady Eye frontman had suffered a similar fate when trying to enter earlier in the week, saying: “He was fine about it and left without a fuss. He’d been refused a drink earlier in the week, I think it was Wednesday evening. He was slurring his words.”

Liam Gallagher spent Saturday night (March 9) at London club night This Feeling, which saw the premiere of a new Beady Eye song. Gallagher went to the club to see his Beady Eye bandmate, guitarist Andy Bell, DJing, and gave Bell the green light to play an unnamed track thought to be the band’s next single.
